Let's make reforestation tourism fashionable by planting the 22 trees that oxygenate our bodies.

A person needs between 7,200 and 8,600 liters of oxygen each day, which is equivalent to 22 trees a day to produce what is necessary to live.

If each of us plants 22 trees, we will begin to restore our planet, creating a domino effect, one by one adding up, so that together we can create future forests.

Reforestation route

The Aysén Region, with its glaciers, forests, and some of the purest water on the planet, is the setting we chose for this first tour. We designed a pilot route along Route 7, passing through more than 30 points of interest, including:
  • The Board
  • Puerto Raúl Marín Balmaceda
  • Puyuhuapi
  • Puerto Cisnes
  • Mañihuales
  • Puerto Aysén
  • Melimoyu
  • Coyhaique
Each person finds a potential planting spot. This isn't just another tour. It's an invitation for tourism to move beyond mere contemplation and become active: enjoying the landscape, learning its history, and contributing to the planet's well-being. Every traveler who joins the route finds their own place to plant trees—a small gesture at first, but one that will grow into a forest over time. This is how we plan to position Patagonia as the world's leading reforestation tourism destination.

Challenges

  • Incorporate Patagonia as a reforestation destination in Chile.
  • To motivate tour operators worldwide to incorporate reforestation into their programs as a complementary activity.
  • Create a development plan that incentivizes and promotes the reforestation of underwater forests in the oceans, as these have been severely affected by human intervention.
  • Provide educational programs to travelers, so that they themselves contribute to the cleanliness of the different destinations they visit.
